Ow.
Just wanted to share that with everyone. Zidane was tossed from the game immediately. But then that'll happen when you don't play by the rules. Which amazingly brings me to the real reason for today's posting.
Can I just say that I'm not a fan of --- well, when people have power to make a decision and let others make it for them or pander to the single voice rather than the many. Not to say we should ignore the single voices all the time. Some of them speak the truth and I like the truth.
Okay, I don't know exactly what I'm going for here in this rant.
Let's say I've received some information and I'm not overly thrilled with it; and NOT because it would effect me adversely, but more so that it questions an established system of rules that if broken now will only open a Pandora's Box of fun. And I should know because I'm the one who made the box in the first place in this case. Not THE Pandora's Box (that would quite solipcistic of me to claim), but the metaphorical one that's being pried open with a rusty crowbar as I type this.
Breathe.
It's also funny; not the issue that I'm ranting about, no, but rather the fact that I'm ranting and trying so hard to vague it up for you because I don't want people reading my blog and getting upset and I'm pretty much succumbing to the politcal correctness of this situation by not getting into any specifics what-so-ever as to not gossip or cause a stir or whatever the specifics will cause if I wrote them today instead of in the not too distant future when they'll actually be public anyway and so in reality I'm doing what I'm ranting about others doing -- pandering.
Wow. That was a truly spectacular sentence.
More humor can be found in the fact that recently there was a situation where I would've fallen into the column of the one prying open the box (though I didn't realize it at the time) and there were some tense moments floating about because of it. But I've learned from that. So maybe that's why I'm all vaguely upset -- it's like when you're six and the other kid is doing what you JUST got in trouble for and yet no one does anything about it.
Just like that.
On a much more enjoyable note, one of my best friends is having a birthday today (well, I mean, it IS his birthday, he didn't just randomly decide to have one like a dinner party or anything). So happy birthday, bro.
Curious...my mind is searching through the myriad of things it could be...
