Life should have a soundtrack. Like TV. For some people it does -- those of us carrying around ipods and the like, listening to our favorite tunes as we go through the motions. Just sitting here getting ready to slumber and listening to the soundtrack to "Veronica Mars", a show I've never watched, but should.
And I'm watching Apollo race around the room because this is one of those nights when I've been home all of five minutes and he's more ready for me to play than for me to sleep. So he pouncing and darting and trying to be as cute as he can be -- and I'm blogging.
Cat guilt setting in.
This past week has been... "busy" would be a simplification of a state of being. And the next couple days do not promise to let up. It's a mix of work and play, and some long overdue Christmas shopping. Dreading that by the by. Don't get me wrong; I love to buy people things. When I actually have money, I'm not too shabby at gift giving. But with the warm weather (which, incidentally has finally left us -- welcome Winter, my friend, how I missed thee), and the lack of funds up until recently, I haven't been in the holiday shopping spirit. Hence the cram session Wednesday night. One night, several stores, and dozens of presents later and maybe, MAYBE, I'll get to avoid the Christmas weekend shopping that going to ravage this town's commercial centers like a plague.
Wow, I just compared Christmas shopping to the plague. And on that note. I should log off. Would love to keep going, but it's late and I'm falling asleep typing this one. Besides, Apollo is still playing and I him some hang time. Those blogs about the dreams will have to wait -- but rest assured, they're coming. And one involves singing.
Told you they were weird.

ReplyDeleteChristmas weekend shopping...shudder.
ReplyDeleteI hope you finish what you need to finish so you can get some rest and play some more with Apollo!
And I'm anticipating those dream stories as well. :-)
Merry Christmas, O Tall One! Got me waiting for the dream stories, and hoping my working Christmas comes to a halt soon enough.
ReplyDeleteTalk to you later.
Meanwhile, in the back of your head, I leave you...an earwig.
