Perchance to Sleep

The moon was resting low on the horizon tonight, lying on it's back, a graceful swath of gold ripping through the black. It was sleeping. And beautiful. Made me want to sleep. Well, that and the fact that I was up until about 4 a.m. last night probably has something to contribute to my drowsiness.

This won't be a long one. Just feels good to write every night. Still in a crap mood over, but there are still enough beautiful things in this world that it's easy to forget the ugly stuff for while. Hanging moons and talking to beautiful red-heads. The tiny creature that shares this space with me and let's me call him Apollo. Banana cream pies—they're lovely in their own potassium-enriched way. Now I'm just being goofy because I'm exhausted.

Though it would be fun to see how insane this post can get on the amount of sleep I've had, it's been past my bedtime since I woke up this morning.

I will post more this weekend, I'm sure. Until then, gentle reader. And though it's a day late (curse the distance that is time), I want to wish Lizza and very happy birthday... or more so, a happy year—I mean, why only wish the good stuff for one measely day?

Just sayin'.

And now for the sleep. It shall be glorious.

  1. Birthday greeting gratefully accepted as is the wish for a happy year. I hope so, too!

Goofy is good. It makes people laugh. Hope you do get a glorious night's sleep, and enough of it! This post shows a teeny tiny bit just how exhausted you are. :-)
