Tonight marks the opening night of "Darkside", the play I've been directing for the past two months. I'm really excited and cannot wait to be a part of the audience and experience this show now that I've passed the reigns onto my brilliant Assistant (to the) Director / Stage Manager, Sue (for the record, if you ever have the chance to work with Sue Rasche, take the opportunity). For anyone within traveling distance of Curtain Players Theater, I'd like to suggest an evening out at the theatre. The cast and crew have been working non-stop, getting this show on its feet and after playing to just me for all these weeks, they deserve an audience.
Here's all the info you need, or visit us online.
Hopefully, I'll see you at the theater!

DARKSIDE centers around Astronaut Bill Griffin and his two crew mates,Ed Stone and Gunner Smith. As the show opens, Ed and Gunner findthemselves potentially stranded on the lunar surface after a routinelaunch misfires. Each time Bill orbits around to the dark side of themoon, we flash back to the astronauts in the weeks and months prior tothe launch of Apollo 18 and see the surprising events leading up tothis mission. Alone in the command module and subjected to memorieshe'd rather forget, it doesn't take long before Bill finds himselflosing touch with reality as NASA works desperately with Ed andGunner, racing against the clock, to save them all. Suitable for ages 14 and up.*
*Show contains mild adult language and situations.

Awesome. What an exciting time for you. Break a leg!
ReplyDeleteHey there, Space Cadets (and I mean that in the most honorable way ;-)
ReplyDeleteBreak a leg tonight! I'll be there cheering you on -- silently, of course (After all, in space, no one can here you cheer).
You guys are gonna ROCK the Dustball! After all, what could possibly go wrong when you have a hallucinating, one-eared artist orbiting a horny vampire hunting journalist and his terminal, incontinent, pseudo-intellectual gay co-pilot on the moon; a fascist, Russian General running the show on the ground; and a scheming, Euro-trash, art-dealing scoundrel with a brick up his arse pulling the strings behind the scenes? ;-) I think this mission is going to turn out A-OK! :-)
I'm looking forward to it. See you tonight!
